In Rock & Rule, an aging superstar, Mok, plots to raise a demon and unleash its evil powers for his own diabolical ends. Rock & Rule was originally seen on HBO and Showtime, spawned several videos that appeared on MTV and USA and was adapted by Marvel Comics.
The DVD, released by Ventura Select/Unearthed Films and in stores June 7, includes original music performed by legendary artists Blondie, Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, Cheap Trick and Earth, Wind & Fire. The DVD contains a new 5.1 Dolby Digital surround mix and a fully-restored High Definition Anamorphic Transfer. Extras include "Making Of", commentary tracks, sketch galleries, liner notes and much more.
To celebrate the DVD release of this acclaimed 80s animated Rock & Roll feature, we had a World Famous Comics Rock & Rule Art Contest with prizes provided by Ventura Select/Unearthed Films. We asked our site visitors to create for us a piece of art that promoted this DVD's release.
