ABOUT GEORGE J. BRODERICK, JR.

George J. Broderick, Jr. was born in the usual manner in November of 1957. His formative years were a blur of Saturday morning cartoons, newspaper comics, comic books and -- time permitting -- grade school. Having little or no interest in rocket science or neurosurgery, George began drawing comics at a tender age. Ever the entrepreneur, George made his first "professional comic sale" at age five, peddling drawings of Popeye, Mighty Mouse and Woody Woodpecker to the bemused and unsuspecting neighborhood Moms from the back of his little red wagon. He still considers that "nickel-a-sketch" time one of the high points of his career.

George has worked as a professional in comics since he (along with a collaborator) self-published Facsimile Of Super-Folk -- a Legion of Super Heroes parody -- in 1982. Since then, he has written stories for DC Comics "Bonus Book" project (a Dr. Light solo story) and handled both scripting and editing on Lost In Space and Quantum Leap for Innovation, as well as some scripts for Innovation's Hero Alliance title. His most current writing credits include scripting issue #2 of Marvel Comics The Daydreamers book (a GenX spinoff) over a plot by J.M. DeMatteis.

George's art credits include work on Overture, Bozo The Clown, Cap'n Oatmeal and Santa Claus Adventures for Innovation, Speed Racer / Ninja High School for Now Comics, Classics Desecrated for Caliber's Negative Burn anthology and The Munsters for TV Comics. His most current work includes two Max Fleischer titles: Koko The Klown's Christmas Adventure and Gulliver's Travels for Caliber Comics and an adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen, also for Caliber. And, of course, Courageous Man Adventures for Moordam Comics and Chase Villens for World Famous Comics.

George's biggest ambition in life is to become one of the most beloved characters in American folklore! George can be reached at .
